Aims
- Making a co-ordinated contribution to the development of life skills for people with disabilities;
- Assisting the individual to exercise his or her citizenship, and promoting the acceptance of that right by society,
through the extension of opportunity and choice, to enable people with disabilities to become active and valued participants in society;
- Providing a forum for discussion and dissemination;
- Providing support for careers;
- Encouraging groups to develop their own distinct approach for their client group;
- Acting as co-ordinator for information, advice, advocacy and conferences, and organising and disseminating information regarding same.
